Luke and Christina were married in April of 2001 with a heart to eventually serve in ministry together as a family. Their calling has brought them to this point in life where Luke will be attending seminary at Asbury over the next 4 years to earn his Master's of Divinity. As a family, it is their hope to be able to serve within the church to challenge and inspire this generation of believers to a living out an active, dynamic and growing faith of disciple-making and community service all to the glory of God. Their hearts are especially moved for the "Millennial Generation" and the families of the body of Christ.
Luke is a recent Penn State graduate with a degree in Organization Leadership and a minor in English. He has served two internships within the Brethren in Christ (BIC) denomination and worked in a camping ministry in South Central PA. He was licensed by the BIC as a pastor in 2012 and is continuing his education both with the denomination and Asbury Seminary.
Christina is also a Penn State graduate, Class of 2000, with a degree in education. She has served as a high school teacher, stay-at-home mom and most recently as the Children's Ministry director at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church. In the future she hopes to pursue further study in the area of Family Ministries and is excited to serve alongside her husband in ministry one day.
Luke and Christina have three children: Hannah, Naomi, and Caleb. Hannah is a 4th grader with a passion for God, a love of writing, and a heart for people. She is excited about becoming a "tween" and loves to work with younger children. Naomi is a 2nd grader with an active imagination, boundless creativity and equally matched energy and curiosity. She enjoys all forms of artistic expression, writing poetry and playing with her friends. Caleb is a rambunctious 2 yr. old who loves to open things (often spilling or playing with the contents), all things trains and trucks and planes and boats, and his big sisters. He may just be the best "surprise" this family ever got!
After graduating from seminary, it is their hope that God opens the door for Luke to pastor in some capacity within a church of God's choosing. Your prayers are more than welcome as they seek to hear God's voice over the next four years of their journey.
